Too Long

Life just keeps whizzing by and I have been terrible at updating. I have had such fun this year and wish I could update on everything but it would be too much so I will just start with this past week.

Last Thursday, I went out with some friends and we went to Admiral D’s and Rudy’s Steakhouse in a local suburb.

My friends I made in Minnesota! I have been so lucky to meet them and be so welcomed! This was at Admiral D’s
Our Rudy Martinis, so good, dangerous but so so tasty

Then on Friday we celebrated Dan’s birthday a couple of days late but our friend got us amazing tickets for the Twins game. I love baseball and even though it is hard to root for the Minnesota Twins as a Chicago White Sox fan, there is something about the Twins I can’t help but to get swooped up in the fun and root for them (don’t tell Dan lololol)

At Cowboy Jack’s rooftop before the game
Our friend picture but we are missing our friend Bill
Obligatory kiss picture, loved that they had fireworks that night

Afterwards we went to Betty Dangers and it is such a cute quirky place I hope to go again soon.

Love a Ferris Wheel ride
Dan, looking so cute and happy

On Saturday, we went out to eat for lunch and do a walk down Summit Ave.

Our typical go to was closed so we got Thai food from a place we have been meaning to check out and it was so good. We will definitely be going back soon
The houses down Summit Ave are all so beautiful and love how they are all decorated but this one took the cake. What an amazing way to express and show how you feel. I just had to share

Later that day, we were invited on our friend’s boat. Dan didn’t go because of his allergies and motion sickness but I went and had an amazing time! I get anxious most times since I don’t know how to swim and panic on the inside but I ended up relaxing and even slept while we were docked at a beach!

On my friend’s boat

Sunday, my first friend I met when we first moved to Minnesota invited us to her party at her complex. The kids had so much fun and loved being in the pool.

These boys have been best friends since age 1, how wild!

On Monday the 4th of July, we went to a parade and then we went to my friend Gloria’s house. She throws the best parties and everyone had an amazing time and their firework show was one for the books.

My oldest and me at the parade with friends. I had no idea about the shooting that happened in Highland Park until after the parade was over. I used to frequent Highland Park and it was just horrible to hear about it and then to watch the video that was eerily similar to the parade I was at. I don’t even have words on what to say about it
Me, in a ridiculous outfit but it was honestly so much fun! I loved and had such a great time at the party my friend Gloria threw.

Now the rest of the week we have been busy packing. Dan booked us a trip to Milan and Venice and we leave next week! We are driving to Chicago so my mom and brothers can help watch the kids and I know they will have a great time with them. Summer is just flying by and I can’t keep up.

I usually wait until the very last minute to pack but Dan has been stressing about my packing so I am being forced to pack early so he can stop saying “I’m so stressed” LOLOL I don’t get it because he is all done and packed why is he worried about me
