I always love seeing what other people buy for their kids to wear. My 5 year old loves every holiday and loves dressing up to celebrate every occasion. He loves learning about other cultures and I am more than happy to oblige. I am happy I studied a lot of cultures in college but some do stump me like Kwanzaa, other African, and European celebrations/traditions. Thank goodness for kids books and both of us learning about everything we want together.
Lunar New Year and Valentine’s Day are coming up and this means going on the hunt for some festive clothes for him. He especially loves these holidays because they are so close to his birthday and he feels these festivities are for him. I sometimes wish I still lived in Chicago to go to Chinatown and take him to the Lunar New Year parade there because he would absolutely love it, maybe one year. Anyways, H&M had an awesome variety of clothes for Lunar New Year last year for baby and kids but this year their selection was smaller and a lot sold out super fast. I was able to pick him up some Valentine’s Day sweaters from Target and the rest was from H&M. I normally don’t get the baby stuff since he will just get Logan’s hand me downs but sometimes I do like splurging and with so many discounts available at H&M I bought them some matching outfits.

I also love that this year is the Year of the Tiger because even though Scott (baby) is just like me a Rat in the Chinese Zodiac, he has been growling since I can remember and I have called him my baby Tiger for forever so it is fitting to dress him up and celebrate even more this year.
I do tend to donate a lot of my clothes and the kids clothes but for special outfits like these I keep them for my future grandchildren. Either boy or girl can wear them and they are so unique it makes me excited for the day that I will be able to see my grandkids in them too.
