*Note-I don’t always post about makeup, but I do enjoy buying it during sale season so I like to post a handful of times a year on it
**Note II-Don’t forget, what works for me won’t work for everyone. I have extremely dry skin except for oily eyelids so my skin combo will not be what everyone has
I finally got my Sephora things I ordered from their VIB Sale last month and I am so excited to try them! Ideally I wish I got them before all the sales ended, but like any good consumer knows, there will always be a sale just have to be patient. This sale I shockingly qualified for their Rouge tier so I was able to get 20% off high end makeup!!! I should really thank Dan for getting me there, they finally added Kiehls to Sephora and Dan is obsessed with Kiehls so between his skin care and hair care products I made the top tier!!! If they ever take away Kiehls from their store I will definitely not be making this tier so I enjoyed this sale knowing that it might be one of the few I will have.
I will start my list first with
RESTOCKS (things I have used up and buying again because I love them so much)
-Rare Beauty Always an Optimist 4-1 Mist, I love this primer/setting spray. It goes on like any other setting spray but when I wore this in Italy even my sweat didn’t budge my makeup so it has become my favorite and one I must always have on hand. I love it so much I bought one for my bestie to give to her when I see her next week
-Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in the color Mood Exposure. I first tried this years ago in a palette set and have loved this shade ever since. This is my only powder blush I use and own. I do tend to have a couple of cream blushes since I go through those faster but only one powder blush has my heart. I just ran out so the timing was perfect to buy another to have until next year.
-Dior Airflash Spray Foundation, is my very favorite foundation! I love how easy this is to apply and how long it stays on. It covers a lot of my annoying blemishes but still leaves my freckles and feels so lightweight on. This is also my most expensive foundation so while I do use it pretty often, one bottle lasts me around 6 months.
New to me
-Rare Beauty Perfect Strokes Matte Liquid Liner, I have been loving Selena Gomez’s beauty line so I had to try this liner out. It did not disappoint! I love it! It goes on thick and so easy to use. The applicator reminds me of a calligraphy pen and I have been enjoying it. Reviews are mixed and I have only had this for only a couple of weeks so first impressions are its amazing but let’s see if stays that way.
-Sephora Collection Holiday Vibes Cream Lip, I actually bought this for my friend’s party in our Saran Wrap Game but was in need of a bold red so used this and OMG love at first swipe! I loved all the stains on me so much I bought another set since I used up the one I originally bought for the game lolol. They are definitely long lasting and I only have needed to reapply once throughout the night. Bonus it was 30% off and right now they have still have a sale with 30% off.
-Rare Beauty Stay Vulnerable Melting Cream in shade Nearly Neutral. I have not tried this one yet but hope to this weekend. Love how it does look so natural and have only swatched it but it looked beautiful on my hand.
-Ilia Mini Balmy Gloss Tinted Lip Set, another I haven’t tried yet but hope too soon and will update once I do
-Rare Beauty Selena’s Faves 4 Piece Mini Set, this set is so cute and I can’t wait to try it! I think that is the only problem with sales I buy so much at one time I find it hard to try everything up at once.
-Sephora Collection Pro Foundation Brush #70. If you don’t know I have a deep love for brushes and while randomly browsing you tube I clicked on a video where some vlogger was raving about this brush. I bought it right away since it was 30% off and it does not disappoint. My foundation went on smooth and no streaks. I am partial to my Artis brushes but I will definitely be using this one too.
-Sephora Collection Lipstick Stories Shades #30 Matinee and #23 After Hours. I also bought this for my Saran Wrap game so won’t be able to report back but I bought these based on names alone lolol. I love going to shows and movies and especially the Matinee since it is always the first show and that means going to that I can do stuff afterwards and After Hours reminds me of one of my favorite Velvet Underground songs, After Hours.
-Sephora Collection Wink-It Felt Tip Liquid Liner in shade Dark Green. I haven’t used this one yet but can’t wait to see how it looks. I am not good at putting on eye liner so it should be interesting if I can even see a difference and notice the green.
Dan’s picks
-Kiehl’s Powerful Strength Dark Circle. He loves this stuff and was running low. He did admit the sales are better on the actual Kiehl’s site but they weren’t having a sale at the moment he needed it so my gain to help me get more points lolol
-Jack Black Industrial Strength Hand Healer, I got this for him as a stocking stuffer. He loves this cream and one bottle lasts around 6 months so just in time for the next sale Sephora has!
-Jack Black, the Balm Squad Lip Balm. This is both of ours favorite lip balm with SPF 25 and great scents, so I got a set to put in his stocking this year.
This rounds up my Sephora Sale buys. I can already tell I bought too much but enough to keep me busy during these winter months. Sorry for the delay in posting, I do like waiting until I receive everything to post and with the mail behind and being so busy I can’t really complain about it and just be happy I received my stuff.
There were so many sales this past year and I feel like Sephora had a number of 20% off on high end makeup so I definitely stocked up. I have been already using a number of these products and have really liked a lot of them. Sephora has their next sale in the Spring but I don’t think I will buying too much this time around.
