I know, I know, I have written about them before but I am truly obsessed. If you sign up for their text message you get first notice on their sales and boy have they had good ones. I bought all these brushes for 60% off!!!! They were still expensive with each brush coming out to a little over $20 each but OMG so worth it! You only really need one and the only down side was having to pay for shipping which was I think $5.
I know, I already have a couple of them but with the sale it was hard to pass and I bought another Oval size 7 and 6, both perfect for foundation.
Artis Brushes are really the only ones I can use more than once without washing and not break out and even though I do typically wash all my makeup brushes after every use sometimes I just run out time and don’t get a chance and really want to use the same brush the next day.
I have had my Artis brushes since they first came out in 2014 and have been in love since, the “smoke” finish was my first purchase and this time I went for the “black matte” finish. My first order came in 2 sturdy boxes and I could already feel how much heavier they were in my hand compared to my smoke finish one.

I don’t know if they ran out of nice packaging but my second order came like this, which was ok with me as long as the actual product was safe. I did like receiving the sturdier boxes because my kids like to put their little toys in them, but maybe they had a shortage or something.

This second order contained an Oval 7 in a “rose gold” finish and it is stunning! I love how it came in a little duster bag to keep it safe for travel.

This brush, I bought in mind to give to a friend that has a birthday coming up in January. Even though I drooled a little when I opened it to make sure no damage was done to it and for a split second debated keeping it, I do hope she likes it as much as I do. It felt heavy like the black matte finish which makes me wonder if they are all heavier now.

Here is my smoke and black matte finish side by side. Both look the same size from the back.

From the front though the black matte’s hairs/bristles look looser. I have used it a couple of times already so this is after a couple of washes but I was a little bothered that the black matte hasn’t kept its shape like my smoke finish that I have had for 7 years has.

These are the Black Matte Oval 6 and Oval 7 next to each other and you can see the 6 has kept its shape well but not the 7. Both apply makeup flawlessly so I can’t complain and no loose hairs go on my face or hands but again I think comparing it to the Oval 7 Smoke finish it is hard to let go the fact the black matte looks this way.

I also splurged and bought the Palm Brush Mini in the Black Matte finish and it is so cute! The packaging was cute too and it came in a little duster bag too!

Here are the palm mini and Oval 7. I like the palm mini for travel and even though I haven’t used it yet I can already tell it will become a fast favorite.

Again, they ALWAYS have a sale so do not purchase these full price unless you are baller like that, but patience is a virtue and there is always a sale whether via text or some blogger has a code for you. I would say if you only need one brush to buy the Oval 7, I literally use it every time and cannot get over how it never leaves streaks and so sturdy. I have bought the knock offs from Amazon to compare and after a couple of uses the handles broke off because of my heavy hand but Artis has always stayed in tact.
