Weekend

On Sunday we didn’t do too much and just went on a drive to my favorite street in the area. If you are ever in St Paul, MN you must go to Summit Ave. It reminds me a lot of Prairie Ave in Chicago where a lot of the Chicago greats lived too. On warmer days, we walk up and down Summit Ave and admire the beautiful architecture and imagine what they used to be like in their prime. There is a famous house James J Hill and pre Covid you could take house tours and they would host special events and it was always a good time. We have an awesome museum membership program here in Minnesota where you pay for your membership and it lets you in 26 museums! When we moved here I couldn’t believe that existed and still does. We have been steady members for 7 years now and it is by far my favorite membership.

Anyways, we didn’t walk the street like we typically do because we had the 2 littles with us and baby was napping and no point of waking him up but we did drive the street and point things out to our 4 year old and he promised to buy me a house in the future lol.

Here is a picture of when me and my husband, Dan had a day date back in November. We were out for about an hour and a half and it was really nice to have some alone time with him. We walked the whole street up and down and took this picture in front of the F Scott Fitzgerald house. Shame you can’t inside for a peek even pre covid but they have a nice plaque speaking about him so it is still nice to check out.

On Saturday, we went to the Mall of America to pick up some Nespresso pods because my order has been delayed since mid December and we were finally down to 3 coffee pods. I have a stock pile of espresso pods because we love a good latte and cappuccino so I didn’t need those but I needed coffee pods. Does anyone own a Nespresso? If not it is life changing!!! I have never owned a Keurig so I can’t compare but I did own a Breville coffee maker and while it was nice crushing my own coffee beans and having really fresh coffee I just didn’t have the time to do the whole process. I needed convenience with the 3 kids and for Mother’s Day last year Dan bought me my first machine. I say first because I am trying to convince him we need the Original line machine too lolol

They were running a special at the boutique buy 7 sleeves and get a free box of chocolates. I love adding a piece of chocolate to our cappuccinos and it was very convenient I was down to about 5 pieces so I jumped on getting the 7 sleeves. They also had 30% off accessories so I got there Nomad cup I have been eyeing for awhile. My coffee never stays hot/warm in the morning because one of the kids typically wakes up and needs me for something so I got this hoping it would keep my coffee warmer than a couple of minutes. I tried it out this morning and my coffee stayed warm for about hour after which is really nice! The cup is a little heavy but nothing I can’t handle and will be using it more often.
