Sales and buys

I always love after a holiday and getting some good deals, but this year I only splurged on the Sur La Table sale. I had been eyeing their Nutcracker theme serving set and when I saw it for half off I had to get it all. I got the Salad bowl, the serving tray, the appetizer set, the salad plates, the kid hot cocoa cups, and the dinner plates. Sadly, I received an email a week ago that they oversold the dinner plates so I was getting refunded for them but I got everything else I had ordered so I couldn’t complain too much. They closed the 2 stores in MN so I tried calling the ones in IL in case they had some my friends could pick them up for me but by the time I called 4 stores they were sold out online and in store. Oh well, hopefully next year they have a similar theme and I can get something to match this set. Either way I love them and my oldest son was extremely happy since his favorite Christmas story is the Nutcracker. I really got them as a surprise for him so when he opened the box he was so happy and excited. I made him hot cocoa to drink out of one the cups and we put away the rest of the stuff for next year.

While shopping at Target I found some earrings I had wanted in December but passed on but for half off I got a couple of the ones I loved. I really liked some other ones too but decided to hold off until they go down even more. I did buy the heart earrings for full price and once I got home and tried them on they felt too heavy for me so I will be returning those. I felt like the pinks ones would be perfect for Valentine’s Day and a plus they are lightweight!!!

Did I mention my favorite holidays are the candy holidays? I love Halloween the most but a close second is Valentine’s Day. Now that my oldest doesn’t pass out valentines for his class I love doing them with my middle. I plan to use the foam hearts and glitter as a craft and the sewing kit hearts he will use to write his name and a cute message for his classmates. I love packing little goodie bags so I picked up some stamps, erasers, and will buy some lollipops or treats to add in the bag closer to Valentine’s Day.

I bought myself the cute heart blanket, heart pillow, and some cozy socks. As I get older it’s these little things that I have come to appreciate the most from my Target runs lol. I also love the “Love” welcome mat, so I switched out my festive Christmas one for this one.

I am heading to the outlets today and I am excited! They have a Lululemon outlet and while I don’t shop there often I hope to find some good deals for my niece.
